Learn to Facet

The Bribie Island Gem & Fossicking Club has some very experienced and capable facetors who will hold your hand and give you guidance in mastering this facinating and interesting hobby. We also conduct classes several times a year to allow you to progress to having a gem of beauty from a piece of  "rough" in a matter of a few lessons.

As with the Faceters, the Silver Smiths will welcome newcomers and people wishing to learn how to create beautiful settings and jewellery. They have in their ranks some very knowledgable and skillful members who are happy to be "show you how".

Experience the thrill of Fossicking on a Field Trip

Field trips are undertaken at various times of the year. What a thrill to find your own special Gem that you can have cut & polished.

It is sugested that you have a suitable vehicle for this type of excursion as sometimes the going can get a bit demanding of the Family Sedan. Not always ... but sometimes it is better to have a 4 wheel drive vehicle.
